Since Wagner had moved to New York in the late 1950’s, she has been consistently pursuing minimalistic and abstract images, and has received renewed attentions in recent years. She seeks minimalism in various fields not only paintings or drawings, but also of sculptures, time-based projects and book works.

Robert Storr once wrote in his essay (Merrill Wagner), “Wagner, materialist, formalist, empiricist, and poet of the given and the accidental as well as of the systematically altered is, in this every respect, an all-American artist to the core.”

In this exhibition, we present 10 works mainly paintings from 1960’s to 1970’s.
